Kevin Brown is a documentary producer, director, and director of photography in New York City. A cross-platform veteran digital storyteller and consultant specializing in cost-effective media production, Kevin can bring a wide variety of media production goals to life. Specializing in immersive, interactive educational media in addition to other disciplines, Kevin has developed a wide variety of production processes and educational media projects full-time for Strategic Education, Inc., including SEI’s flagship institutions Strayer University and Capella University, since 2018. Prior to joining SEI, Kevin has done documentary work with part2 pictures (CNN, Showtime, Discovery Networks), Syracuse University, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), KWCH-TV 12 Eyewitness News (CBS), Wichita State University, and more. In addition to his roles at SEI, Kevin has facilitated media production and livestreaming for a wide variety of independent documentary productions, as well as nonprofit, human interest, and community organizations both in the greater New York City area and across the United States.

Holding a Master of Arts in Documentary Film and History from Syracuse University (2017), and a recent Master of Business Administration (MBA) graduate from Strayer University’s Jack Welch Management Institute (2024), Kevin holds a strong educational background with a keen eye for production management in educational settings. With a passion for bringing learning to life for a wide range of individuals through engaging digital media, Kevin aims to reimagine and democratize the classroom for all.
